Identity of Retail Supplier Acquired By National Gas & Electric Disclosed
Perigee Energy, LLC informed regulators that on February 3, 2017, National Gas & Electric, LLC acquired 100% of the membership interests of Perigee, thereby implementing a change of control of the ownership of the company.
The name, FEIN, and DUNS number of Perigee Energy shall remain the same, and Perigee Energy shall continue to serve its existing customers.
Perigee is licensed to sell electricity in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Delaware
Perigee Energy, LLC, had been owned entirely by Great American Power Holdings, LLC
National Gas & Electric is an affiliate of Spark HoldCo, LLC, which is the parent company of Spark Energy, LLC and Spark Energy Gas, LLC. National Gas & Electric is also an affiliate of Spark Energy, Inc.
National Gas & Electric, LLC had announced in February that it has closed on an acquisition with an undisclosed supplier, with an option to purchase additional customers.
Spark Energy said last week that it had entered into a letter agreement with National Gas & Electric, LLC for the acquisition of approximately 19,000 RCEs with an option to acquire an additional 41,000 RCEs, though it was unclear if such RCEs were solely related to National Gas & Electric's recent acquisition. Spark Energy will pay approximately $2.2 million in cash, subject to working capital adjustments, under the National Gas & Electric transaction
