Retail Supplier Offering Plan Bundled With VOIP Service In Texas, Other Markets
Clearview Energy has begun offering electricity service bundled with Ooma Voice Over IP phone service.
In the Oncor service area of Texas, Clearview Energy's Clear Charge VOIP (Ooma) plan is offered as a 12 or 24-month fixed rate, with 100% wind. The 12-month Clear Green Ooma plan has an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 10.4¢/kWh, reflecting an energy charge of 6.2¢/kWh plus TDU fees.
The Clear Green 12 Ooma plan at Oncor includes a $200 early termination fee.
Under the Ooma bundle, Clearview states that customers get free nationwide calling via VOIP. Clearview Energy pays for the customer's Telo device (the Ooma home phone system) and applicable taxes and fees
In addition to Texas, Clearview's Ooma bundle is offered in several other markets, including several in Pennsylvania.
Clearview states concerning the Ooma service:
• Basic service includes voicemail, caller-ID, call-waiting, 911 and a free mobile calling app
• Integrates with smart home products like Nest, Amazon Echo and more
• Expands to provide whole-house security with Ooma Home Monitoring and Ooma Internet security
The Ooma bundle is the latest in Clearview's suite of bundles, which, as previously reported, also includes electricity service bundled with Hulu streaming and Chargepoint EV charging
