Utility's Default Service Rates To Increase, Discloses Winning Suppliers

Unitil has filed with the New Hampshire PUC default service rates for the six-month period beginning June 1, 2017

For residential customers, the June-November fixed default service rate would be 7.886¢ per kWh

The residential default service charge of 7.886¢ per kWh is an increase of 0.196¢ per kWh from the current charge of 7.690¢ per kWh.

Rates for the residential variable rate option would be as follows

For small commercial (G2, OL) customers, the June-November fixed default service rate would be 7.556¢ per kWh

The new small commercial default service charge of 7.556¢ per kWh is an increase of 0.232¢ per kWh from the current rate 7.324¢ per kWh

Rates for the small commercial variable rate option would be as follows

All rates above include the power supply charge and the Non-G1 RPS adder (0.360¢ per kWh). For the fixed default service rates, the power supply charge is 7.526¢ per kWh for residential customers, and 7.196¢ for small commercial customers

Unitil selected Direct Energy Business Marketing, LLC as the winning bidder of the residential customer (Non-G1) supply requirement (100% share) and TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd as the winning bidder of the small commercial customer (Non-G1) supply requirement (100% share). NextEra Power Marketing, LLC was selected as the supplier of the large customer (G1) supply requirement (100% share). All three transactions are for a period of six months.
