BGE SOS Mass Market Rates To Fall

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period beginning October 1, 2017, and new Type II SOS rates for the period beginning June 1, 2017, as well as updates to various SOS rate components

For residential customers, the new October SOS rates are about 6 mills per kWh lower than the comparable winter SOS rates of the prior term, and 2 mills per kWh lower than the upcoming summer 2017 SOS rates.

BGE's new SOS supply rates are below, in cents per kWh. As further detailed below, these rates reflect the new SOS energy rate plus new transmission rates and new admin. charges but do not include reconciliation (Rider 8).

Rates for lighting and other special classes, and more details can be found in BGE's filing, which also includes updates to the bypassable transmission rates and admin. charges which are reflected in the rates above.

For residential customers, the admin. charge is decreasing from 2.94 mills per kWh to 2.63 mills per kWh.

Separately, BGE also filed an update to the bypassable reconciliation component, Rider 8, for the period June through September 2017, which is not reflected in the SOS rates above. See the new amounts for Rider 8 here
