Regulator Approves 4% POR Discount Rate, Reflecting 60% Increase

The Massachusetts DPU approved new purchase of receivables discount rates (standard complete billing percentages) at Western Massachusetts Electric Company (Eversource), effective May 1, 2017.

At WMECO, the residential POR discount is increasing nearly 60%, from 2.59% to 4.13%

The approved May 1, 2017 WMECO POR discounts are:

              Residential  Commercial  Industrial  Other
Total            4.13%        0.07%[sic] -0.07%   -0.01%

For comparison, WMECO's prior POR discounts were:

              Residential  Commercial  Industrial  Other
Total            2.59%        0.25%       0.15%   -0.03%
