Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC is exiting the New York market and is transitioning some of its New York customers to Spark Energy, LLC

Specifically Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC is transitioning a subset of its New York book to Spark Energy, reflecting approximately 440 customers at ConEdison, 170 customers at Niagara Mohawk, and 180 customers at KeySpan

Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC has not marketed in New York for over a year and a half, and currently serves less than 1,200 customers in New York.

Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC stated that in a PSC filing that its intention is, "to exit the New York market as soon as all customers currently being served by Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC have been switched to Spark Energy, LLC, the acquiring ESCO or dropped to default service."

"We hope that our decision to exit the New York market within two months (as soon as possible given the utility’s meter read/switch cycle) will mean that Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC will not be subject to a subpoena relating to the discovery process in the Department of Public Services’ review of the retail market," Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC stated in a PSC filing

Frontier Utilities Northeast, LLC expects the New York market exit to be completed by the end of July
