Update: PSNH Discloses Sale Price For Interest In Wyman Unit 4

Public Service Company of New Hampshire has disclosed in a New Hampshire PUC filing a sale price for its previously reported agreement to sell its 3.1433% undivided ownership interest as a tenant in common in W.F. Wyman Station – Unit 4 to a unit of NextEra Energy, which currently owns 84% of Wyman Unit 4.

PSNH in the filing said that it has entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement dated June 15, 2017 with FPL Energy Wyman IV LLC (a unit of NextEra Energy) for the sale of its 3.1433% ownership interest in Wyman 4 for a purchase price of $1 million (subject to certain adjustments at closing).

The total sale price is $1 million plus an additional payment reflecting PSNH’s share of fuel inventory value per the methodology specified in the PSA, with further customary adjustments at closing, PSNH said

PSNH said that the value of the Wyman 4 asset on PSNH’s books as of May, 2017, was $373,160.85. The net proceeds of this sale will be used to mitigate stranded costs borne by customers.
