Texas Retail Providers Encouraged To Be Involved in Discussions on Implementing, Testing For NPRR Allowing Additional Day To Change Date For (or Cancel) Enrollment
The Texas Standard Electronic Transaction (Texas SET) Working Group will conduct discussions regarding pre-implementation testing requirements for adopted NPRR778, Modifications to Date Change and Cancellation Evaluation Window.
The change under NPRR778 allows Competitive Retailers an extra day to send a Texas SET transaction to cancel or change a date on an enrollment.
"All market participants are encouraged to be involved in these discussions as there are identified impacts to Market Participant systems," Texas SET leadership said in a notice issued to the Retail Market Subcommittee (RMS) list
Texas SET will develop testing scripts and discuss a testing timeline to insure that all Market Participants have the opportunity to conduct end-to-end testing of these changes with ERCOT and each other during the October 2017 Flight testing timeframe.
The next Texas SET meeting is scheduled for August 16, 2017 in Room 168 at the ERCOT MET Center.
NPRR778 is said to improve the overall customer experience by preventing a potential inadvertent gain/loss event from occurring by allowing a transactional solution: (1) To cancel or change the date on a move in; and (2) To cancel a switch transaction. This transactional solution replaces the prior manual solution
