Texas To Hold Another Workshop On Potential Enhancements To Improve Efficiency Of Energy-Only Market

Commissioners of the Public Utility Commission of Texas yesterday agreed to hold a second workshop, to be held in October, concerning its project examining potential enhancements to improve the efficiency of the ERCOT energy-only market, including price formation issues

The October date was selected as it will be after an IMM study is filed in September, as well as a further ERCOT filing in late September

Commissioner Kenneth Anderson stressed that stakeholders developing their own papers and proposals in response to the Hogan/Pope study should file such materials before the start of October

Anderson stressed that he did not want the project to devolve into an endless series of workshops
