Texas Staff To Open Project To Evaluate Issues Relating to Demand Billed Customers and 4CP Billing

Staff of the Texas PUC is to open a project to evaluate issues relating to demand billed customers and 4CP billing, which were raised in the Oncor rate case in Docket No. 46957.

The new project was assigned Project No. 47549

As reported by RetailEnergyX.com, Brasovan Energy's Electricity Users Coalition (BEEC) had originally filed an objection to a stipulation in Oncor's rate case, as BEEC opposes tariff language that would limit 4CP billing for delivery rates to customers above 700 kW.

BEEC, citing the implementation of AMI, had originally said that customers under the old IDR threshold should have the option to elect 4CP billing

BEEC has withdrawn its opposition to a rate case settlement at Oncor, which includes the 700 kW threshold for 4CP billing, due to the opening of a project to examine the issue
