Texas PUC Schedules Workshop On Eliminating Customer Protections Linked To SBF

Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas will conduct a workshop on Thursday, October 12, 2017 regarding Project No. 47343, Rulemaking to Amend Chapter 25 Substantive Rules Relating to the Elimination of the System Benefit Fund. As previously reported Staff have filed a strawman proposal that, as a result of the elimination of the SBF, would eliminate the requirement for REPs to offer deferred/level payment plans, deposit installments, and to waive late fees to certain low-income customers (see story here)

FERC Approves Transfer Of Ohio Utility Generation To Non-Utility Affiliate

FERC approved as proposed an application from The Dayton Power and Light Company (Dayton Power) and AES Ohio Generation, LLC (AES Ohio) for authorization for Dayton Power to transfer generation facilities, along with ancillary assets, to its affiliate, AES Ohio. The transaction is intended to conform to an order issued by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio that approved a plan for Dayton Power to divest its generation assets.
