Duquesne Light Files New Default Service Supply Charges, Rate to Increase 12% For Certain Customers
Duquesne Light filed with the Pennsylvania PUC new default service supply rates for the period beginning December 1, 2017.
The default service supply rate, or supply charge, reflects generation supply only; unlike the official Prices to Compare which also reflect transmission and the state tax adjustment surcharge. Official new PTCs have not yet been posted
The supply charge for Residential (Rate Schedules RS, RH and RA) customers will be 6.2407¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018, versus the current 6.2015¢/kWh
The supply charge for Small Commercial & Industrial customers (<25 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH and Rate Schedule UMS) will be 5.5876¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018, versus the current 5.3930¢/kWh
The supply charge for Medium Commercial & Industrial customers (25-300 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH) will increase 12% to 5.7974¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2017, through February 28, 2018, from the current 5.1571¢/kWh
The supply charge for Lighting (Rate Schedules AL and SE) customers will be 3.8177¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018, versus the current 3.7939¢/kWh
