Retail Supplier Sets Date For Pennsylvania Market Entry
Spring Power & Gas announced that it intends to launch in Pennsylvania in 2018.
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last week, Spring Power & Gas recently received electric and natural gas supplier licenses from the Pennsylvania PUC
Spring Power & Gas said that it, "currently operates in Maryland and New Jersey offering environmentally focused products. Spring Power & Gas's 'Spring Green' product ensures 100 percent of a customer's electric consumption is matched with a Green-e Energy Certified Wind REC (Renewable Energy Certificate) product. The 'Zero Gas' product matches a customer's natural gas usage with Green-e Climate Certified carbon offsets to ensure that 100 percent of its carbon emissions caused by a customer's gas usage is offset. 'Zero Gas' is also approved by Verified Carbon Standard. These products meet the environmental and consumer protection standards set forth by the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions."
Spring Power and Gas said that it will present a similar offering to Pennsylvania residents.
"Additionally, the company will provide customers the Ecogold loyalty program that is currently part of the New Jersey and Maryland value offering. The program enables customers to choose either Cash Back or Ecogold Rewards, allowing them to redeem movie tickets or gift cards from popular retailers. For every customer that enrolls with Spring Power & Gas, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ecogold Environmental Fund, which is a private fund that was established to support domestic and international non-profit organizations. The Ecogold Environmental Fund contributes to environmentally friendly programs that align with the fund's values of sustainability, integrity, and environmental accountability." Spring Power and Gas said
"Spring Power & Gas intends to launch in Pennsylvania in 2018. We're very eager to expand into different markets throughout our country so that we can help more and more people make the right choices when it comes [to] their energy and gas needs," said Richard Booth, President of Retail Operations, Spring Power and Gas.
