In Expansion Effort, Retail Supplier Led By Former Border Energy Execs Receives Licenses In New State
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Archer Energy, LLC electric and natural gas supplier licenses to serve all customer classes in all service areas
As previously reported, Archer Energy was founded in 2014 by Andy Mitrey, who serves as the company's President and CEO. Grant T. Christman and Andrew Ernst both hold the titles of Vice President & Officer at Archer Energy
All three individuals held similar positions at Border Energy, prior to Border's sale to IGS Energy.
Prior to September 1, 2017, Mitrey, and by association Archer Energy, was prohibited from entering certain states and/or market areas related to the sale of Border Energy to IGS Energy in 2014.
Consequently, Archer Energy has focused its efforts primarily on serving customers in the following market areas: Black Hills Energy (Wyoming, natural gas). Citizens Energy (Indiana, natural gas). Peoples Gas (Illinois, natural gas) and National Grid (Rhode Island, electricity).
