Massachusetts Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates To Increase Nearly 25%

Western Massachusetts Electric Co. (Eversource) has filed new default service rates for the period beginning January 1, 2018

The proposed new January 2018 residential default service rate of 10.641¢/kWh is about 25% higher than the current rate of 8.563¢/kWh. The January 2018 basic service rate is also about 10% higher than the year-ago winter rate (Jan.-Jun. 2017) of 9.126¢/kWh.

WMECO's small C&I basic service rate will also increase about 25% versus both the current rate and year-ago rate

WMECO rates are below in ¢/kWh, and include the current Default/Basic Service Adders as well as the Renewable Portfolio Standard and Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard Adders
