New POR Discount Rates Approved By Regulator

The Massachusetts DPU has approved new Standard Complete Billing Percentages (purchase of receivables [POR] discount rates), to be effective December 1, 2017, at Fitchburg Gas & Electric (Unitil)

Fitchburg Gas & Electric's new POR discount rates were approved as follows:

Residential
Uncollectible       4.60%
Administrative     -0.21%
Total               4.39%



Small/Regular General Service
Uncollectible       0.78%
Administrative     -0.86%
Total              -0.08%

For comparison, the current Fitchburg Gas & Electric residential POR discount is 4.83%, and the current Small/Regular General Service POR discount is 1.21%
