Update: BGE Files Revised SOS Rates For Summer 2018, Rates Change On Update To Admin. Charge
Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed new SOS rates for the period June 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018, and also filed revisions to its current SOS rates to reflect a change in the bypassable SOS administrative charge, effective February 1, 2018
As previously reported, BGE had posted indicative SOS rates for the summer 2018 period immediately after a fall procurement; however, such rates have now been filed in tariff form and have changed based on the update to the SOS admin. charge.
BGE specifically filed a revised SOS admin. charge as follows:
With such change in the SOS admin. charge, BGE filed changes to its current SOS rates (effective 2/1/18) as well as formally filing the summer 2018 SOS rates, as shown below. Note that the summer 2018 SOS rates reflect the use of the currently effective transmission rates as part of the total SOS charge; the transmission rate is typically updated effective June 1 of each year. Furthermore, while the summer 2018 rates reflect the proposed new SOS admin. charges, the SOS admin. charge rates typically change every February, June and October. All rates listed below exclude bypassable Rider 8 - Energy Cost Adjustment (reconciliation)
Due to the change in the SOS admin. charge, BGE has also filed updates to its total Type II SOS rates for the period February 1, 2018 to February 28, 2018. See the new Type II rates here
Additionally, BGE has filed updates to bypassable Rider 8 - Energy Cost Adjustment (reconciliation), which is a component of the all-in SOS rate, for the period February 2018 to May 2018. See the new amounts for bypassable Rider 8 here
