Reporting by Paul Ring • ring@energychoicematters.com

Great Eastern Energy (GEE) has expanded its service territory into Connecticut, offering electricity service to business and residential customers at Eversource (Connecticut Light and Power) and United Illuminating

Initially, residential service will not be actively marketed in Connecticut, and will be limited to friends/family.

However, Great Eastern Energy is actively building out a residential marketing strategy for Connecticut with a goal to be actively marketing to residential customers in Connecticut within the next 60 days.

The expansion into Connecticut follows recent expansions last year by GEE into several New York service areas, including Niagara Mohawk, National Fuel Gas Distribution, New York State Electric & Gas, Rochester Gas & Electric, and Central Hudson Gas & Electric
