FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Residential Default Service Rates Falling Up To 13% On March 1

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential PTCDefault rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting March 1, 2018

The PTCDefault rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%.

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.181¢/kWh effective March 1, a 9% decrease from the current 6.816¢/kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 5.878¢/kWh effective March 1, a 13% decrease from the current 6.742¢/kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.085¢/kWh effective March 1, a decrease versus the current 6.149¢/kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.599¢/kWh effective March 1, an 8% decrease versus the current 7.202¢/kWh

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 6.523¢/kWh effective March 1, a 5% increase from the current 6.226¢/kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 6.754¢/kWh effective March 1, a decrease from the current 6.769¢/kWh

At West Penn Power, the commercial PTCDefault rate will be 5.416¢/kWh effective March 1, an 11% increase versus the current 4.858¢/kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 7.724¢/kWh effective March 1, an 11% increase versus the current 6.929¢/kWh
