Partners New Energy, LLC, which is currently authorized as an Option 2 retail electric provider in Texas, applied for an amendment to its Texas REP certificate to become an Option 1 REP, licensed to serve the entire state of Texas

Option 2 REPs are limited to serving specifically identified customers, each of whom contracts for one megawatt or more of capacity, who provide an affidavit agreeing to such service

Option 1 REPs may serve all customer sizes in the geographic area selected in its application.

Partners New Energy, LLC said in its application to the Texas PUC that it is not currently serving any customers
