Solar Provider Receives Texas Aggregator Certificate

The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Local Sun Energy LLC an electric aggregator certificate to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Local Sun Energy had said in its application that it would primarily offer aggregation services to residential customers

In its Texas application, Local Sun Energy LLC had stated that it plans to charge residential aggregation members $10/month for service, paid by the residential members. Commercial and Industrial member fees are intended to be paid by the retail electricity provider.

Local Sun Energy LLC is owned by Harvest Moon Renewable Energy Company LLC, a power generation company in Texas that produces solar energy

Local Sun Energy is currently engaged in brokering for MP2 Energy in the Texas retail electric market. MP2 has offered shared solar service sourced from a Harvest Moon facility
