Municipal Aggregation Consultant Announces Affinity Partnership With Organizations Representing Majority Of New York Municipalities
The Association of Towns of the State of New York (AOT) and the New York State Conference of Mayors (NYCOM) have partnered with energy consultant Good Energy to create the New York Municipal Energy Program (NYMEP), described as, "a one-of-a-kind, innovative Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) and Municipal buying initiative that allows New York communities and municipal facilities to save money on energy costs."
Municipalities can elect to join the NYMEP program to implement an opt-out municipal aggregation, for which Good Energy serves as the, "fully endorsed, exclusive consultant."
"AOT and NYCOM represent the majority of municipalities in New York and advocate legislative initiatives supporting cities, towns, and villages of New York," the organization said
In addition to supplying opt-out municipal aggregations, the NYMEP will also offer municipalities supply for facilities such as wastewater treatment plants, correctional facilities and municipally-owned buildings.
