Dynegy Reports Update On Retail Customer Count, Volumes

In reporting earnings for the year 2017, Dynegy provided an update on its retail business

"The retail business continued its effort to expand into new markets during 2017 by serving new municipal aggregation customers in Massachusetts and through commercial and industrial sales in the Pennsylvania market for 2018 delivery. Retail now serves customers in Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Pennsylvania," Dynegy said

Dynegy's retail delivered volumes in 2017 were 26,000 gigawatt-hours to approximately 1.2 million residential and business customers.

For comparison, Dynegy previously reported its customer count as 1.2 million as of September 30, 2017 as well

Although the retail segment is not broken out specifically in Dynegy's segment reporting, Dynegy reported lower contributions from the retail segment in PJM and MISO in the fourth quarter of 2017, versus the year-ago quarter, due to milder weather and, in PJM, higher supply costs
