The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission has approved results of the initial competitive default service solicitation at Public Service Company of New Hampshire (Eversource)

For residential and small commercial customers, the default service (energy service) charge at PSNH will be a fixed rate of 7.903 cents per kilowatt-hour, the period April 1, 2018 to July 31, 2018.

The new mass market rate is 30% lower than the current default service rate of 11.25 cents per kWh

For large C&I customers, the new default service rates are (Cents/kWh):

April 2018 8.739
May 2018 8.152
June 2018 8.165
July 2018 8.251

The new C&I rates are about 26% lower than the current rate of 11.25 cents per kWh

All of the new default service rates reflect the inclusion of applicable RPS, administrative and hydro adders and adjusters

Moving forward, Eversource's energy charge will be adjusted twice each year, on August 1 and February 1.

Under the competitive RFP, Eversource selected Exelon Generation Company LLC (Exelon) to provide power supply to the Large Customer Group for the four-month period beginning April 1, 2018, and NextEra Energy Marketing LLC (NextEra) to provide all four tranches of power supply for the Small Customer Group for the same four-month period
