Texas PUC Removes RUC Capacity From ORDC For This Summer

The Texas PUC today directed ERCOT to remove Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) capacity from the online reserves used to calculate the Operating Reserve Demand Curve (ORDC) price adder for this summer

ERCOT had previously said that, upon PUC and Board approval, the change could be implemented by this July

The PUC did not direct any other changes to the energy-only market for this summer
