The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Gexa Energy has begun offering to Texas residential customers a BOGO electricity plan, a fixed-price plan that provides, "50% off your energy charges every month."

In the Oncor service area, the BOGO 12 plan is a 12-month fixed rate with an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 10.8¢/kWh.

This reflects the following:

• Energy Charge: $0.1400 per kWh

• Energy Charge BOGO Credit: 50% per billing cycle

• Monthly Service Fee: $9.95 per billing cycle for usage <= 999 kWh

• TDU Delivery Charge: $0.0346 per kWh

• TDU Delivery Charge: $3.49 per billing cycle charge

The BOGO Credit will apply a 50% discount to the Energy Charge. This discount's dollar value will vary according to the customer's usage, and the BOGO discount does not apply to any other items composing this plan. This discount does not apply to the TDU Delivery Charges. The credit will utilize rounding to calculate the credit on the Energy Charge presented on the bill.

A $150 early termination fee applies
