March Marks Another Month Of Declining Pennsylvania Residential Shopping At All Utilities

All of the seven large EDCs in Pennsylvania saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decline during March versus the February total, with the number of Pennsylvania residential customers on competitive supply declining by nearly 6,300 accounts statewide.

That compares to a net aggregate decline of 9,000 residential accounts on competitive supply from late January to late February

The change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply at each large utility from late February 2018 to late March 2018 (reporting date varies slightly by utility) was:

Duquesne Light        (319)
Met-Ed              (1,593)
PECO                (1,172)
Penelec               (974)
Penn Power            (221)
PPL                   (942)
West Penn Power     (1,053)

For comparison, the change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply at each large utility from late January 2018 to late February 2018 (reporting date varies slightly by utility) had been:

Met-Ed              (1,457)
PECO                (3,097)
Penelec             (1,193)
Penn Power            (406)
PPL                   (470)
West Penn Power     (1,905)
