PPL Posts New Prices To Compare

Residential Generation Rate Increases, But Overall PTC Lower On Transmission Rate Change

PPL has filed with the Pennsylvania PUC new generation and transmission rates which will compose the Price to Compare for the 6-month period starting June 1, 2018

Although PPL has not yet officially posted the June 1 PTCs, tariff filings with the applicable components have been posted, and PA Power Switch is listing "actual" PTCs at PPL for the period beginning June 1, 2018

For residential customers, including Rate RS, the PPL June 1 PTC will be 7.449¢/kWh, which is marginally lower than the current residential PTC of 7.463¢/kWh

The overall PPL residential PTC is decreasing despite a 5% increase in the Generation Supply Charge, due to a decrease in the Transmission Service Charge, as noted below:

For PPL small business customers, including Rates GS-1 and GS-3 under 100 kW, the PTC is decreasing 12% on June 1, 2018 to 6.776¢/kWh, from the current 7.701¢/kWh. The components are as follows:
