BGE Files New Residential, Commercial SOS Rates

Also Updates Bypassable Rider 8 (Reconciliation) For June 1

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period October 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019, and Type II SOS rates for the period June 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018.

BGE has not yet filed updated transmission rates to take effect June 1. Transmission rates are excluded from the rates below

The rates below do reflect an update in the SOS admin. charge

BGE's filed "Total Generation Rate" amounts reflecting energy, SOS admin. charge, and taxes are shown below. These rates are not the full SOS rates as they exclude transmission and Rider 8 reconciliation

For most mass market customers, the new "Total Generation Rate" amounts for the period starting October 1, 2018 are marginally higher (1-2 mills per kWh) than the June 1, 2018 "Total Generation Rate" amounts.

Under BGE's filing, the total SOS Administrative Charges for Residential, Type I and Type II, and Hourly Service will change effective with June 2018 bills from 1.91 mills per kWh, 2.18 mills per kWh, 0.86 mills per kWh, and 0.73 mills per kWh to 2.08 mills per kWh, 1.36 mills per kWh, 1.23 mills per kWh and 1.06 mills per kWh, respectively. Such changes are reflected in the rates listed above
