The Pennsylvania PUC has scheduled second en banc hearing on supplier consolidated billing for electricity, with the second hearing scheduled for July 12

The Commission had previously scheduled an en banc hearing for the afternoon of June 14, 2018, which will be held as scheduled, and had set forth a comment period in advance of the hearing

"Upon review of the comments and based upon the number of parties expressing an interest in testifying, the Commission is adding a second hearing date to provide interested parties sufficient time to testify and respond to questions from the Commissioners on the numerous issues involved," the PUC said via Secretarial letter

The first en banc hearing will be held in Hearing Room 1 of the Commonwealth Keystone Building, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 14th starting at 1:00 pm and concluding at 4:00 pm. This initial afternoon of hearings will include testimony from EGSs and consumer advocates.

The second en banc hearing will be held in Hearing Room 1 of the Commonwealth Keystone Building, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Thursday, July 12th starting at 1:00 pm and concluding by 5:00 pm. This second afternoon of hearings will include testimony from EDCs and EGSs.

The purpose of these hearings is to permit participants to inform the Commission on the following issues: (1) whether SCB is legal under the Public Utility Code and Commission regulations; (2) whether SCB is appropriate and in the public interest as a matter of policy; and (3) whether the benefits of implementing SCB outweigh any costs associated with implementation. The Commission has identified the attached list of issues concerning implementation of SCB and potential alternatives to SCB, which are meant to guide the discussion. The PUC noted that these will not be the only questions or issues discussed.
