Parties Agree On AEP Texas Merger Savings Credits To Be Provided To Retail Providers

Parties have filed a joint proposed order that would approve the application of AEP Texas to provide retail electric providers with a contemplated credit for various merger savings and credits from the previously reported merger of AEP Texas's central and northern divisions into a single operating company.

Under the joint proposed order, supported by AEP Texas, the City of McAllen, the Alliance of Retail Markets (ARM), and the Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, AEP Texas would issue the credits due thus far to REPs via a one-month credit, in the revenue month of September 2018, beginning with the first billing cycle in September 2018.

Parties support implementation of AEP Texas' tariff as filed, which included the proposed amounts for the credits as shown below:
