Retail Supplier Informs Regulator Of Billing Error That Led To Retention Of Customers On Existing Rates, Rather Than Renewal Rates
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. informed the Connecticut PURA that Constellation NewEnergy, "recently discovered billing errors caused by its migration to a new billing system in November of 2016."
"These system issues resulted in (i) the retention of customers on their existing rates rather than their renewal rates; and (ii) the omission of the 'Next Rate' on customer invoices," Constellation NewEnergy said in a letter to PURA
"Constellation is in the process of refunding all customers affected by these billing issues," Constellation NewEnergy said in a letter to PURA
"Constellation regrets the system error that led to its billing errors and anticipates a system fix by June 21, 2018. Finally, Constellation has proactively discontinued initiating any price increases until such fix is completed," Constellation NewEnergy said in a letter to PURA
