Utility's Small Customer Default Service Rate Increasing 20%

The New Hampshire PUC approved new default (energy) service rates at Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSNH, or Eversource) for the six-month period beginning August 1, 2018, with the small customer default service rate increasing 20%

The PSNH Small Customer Group (including residential) default service rate will be 9.412 cents per kWh effective August 1, 2018, a 20% increase versus the current 7.903 cents per kWh. The Small Customer Group includes Rates R, R-OTOD, G, G-OTOD, and any outdoor lighting associated with those rates billed under Rates EOL and OL

The August 1 small customer default service rate reflects a base rate of 8.957 cents per kWh, plus an RPS adder of 0.369 cents per kWh, a hydro-adjuster credit (reduction) of 0.028 cents per kWh, and an administrative and general expense adder of 0.114 cents per kWh.

The adders listed above are the same for the Large Customer Group.

Eversource selected Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon), to provide power supply for the Large Customer Group, and for all four tranches comprising the Small Customer Group.
