Texas Generator To Pay $5,000 Under Settlement With PUC Staff

RES America Developments Inc. would pay $5,000 under a settlement with Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas to resolve alleged violations by Whirlwind Energy, LLC of Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Nodal Protocols § 3.21, relating to declarations of summer and winter weather preparedness
According to the settlement, at the time of the alleged violations, RES America Developments Inc. (RES) owned Whirlwind Energy, LLC.
According to the settlement, Whirlwind, a resource entity, was required to submit its declaration of summer weather preparedness to ERCOT on or before June 1, 2017.
According to the settlement, Whirlwind did not submit its declaration of summer weather preparedness until July 24, 2017, 53 days beyond the due date.
According to the settlement, Whirlwind Energy, LLC was sold by RES on or about February 6, 2018.
