Two new customers have recently petitioned the Nevada PUC under NRS 704B for authority to exit utility supply and take competitive supply

Station Casinos LLC, owner and operator of 10 hotels and casinos in Nevada Power Company's (NV Energy) territory, has applied to take competitive supply. Station has selected Morgan Stanley Capital Group as its competitive provider.

Station's current annual load is approximately 285,000 MWh with an average hourly load of approximately 32.5 MW and a peak load of approximately 44.5 MW.

Separately, Fulcrum Sierra BioFuels, LLC, which recently began construction of a biorefinery to be located in Storey County, in the Sierra Pacific Power Company (NV Energy) service area, has applied to take competitive supply. At the time of the filing of its initial application, Fulcrum had not yet selected a competitive provider. Fulcrum anticipates the amount of energy, capacity and ancillary services to be purchased from the provider to be approximately 28 megawatts.
