Broker Owned By TXU Parent Adopts New Brand (EnergyBot), Says Residential Service "Coming Soon"

Blitz Ventures, Inc., the broker owned by Vistra Energy, the parent of TXU Energy and other retail brands, has adopted the brand EnergyBot for its online-based brokering service currently targeted to commercial and industrial customers, and says on a recently launched website (www.energy.bot) that residential service is "Coming Soon"
While residential service is listed as "Coming Soon" on its website, several of Blitz Ventures' licenses are thus far limited to non-residential service (including a recent application for a Maine broker license).
Paul Rogers has been named CEO of Blitz Ventures, Inc.
Prior to joining Blitz Ventures, Rogers served as Senior General Manager (Systems) for Current, a GE-affiliated entity, focused on grid infrastructure. Prior to Current, Rogers served as President and CEO, for Wurldtech, a GE Digital company, and prior to that role, served as Chief Development Officer for GE Digital.
EnergyBot touts its online market place as superior to traditional brokers.

In the same blog post, EnergyBot says that the EnergyBot system, "offers many advantages over a standard broker," and lists such advantages as, among others:

While brokers have industry knowledge, buyers can’t be certain that the broker is providing fully accurate information. By contrast, EnergyBot empowers buyers to compare plans without an outside intermediary."

EnergyBot has submitted an application for a Maine electric broker license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers in all service areas. It also has broker applications pending approval in New Jersey and Delaware
