MP2 Energy LLC, a Shell Energy North America (US) LP wholly owned subsidiary, has been awarded a long-term retail electricity contract for renewable energy solutions with Sheppard AFB Homes, a Balfour Beatty Communities owned and managed housing community serving active duty Air Force families at Sheppard AFB in Texas.

The deal supports 1.1 megawatts of on-site rooftop solar generation on 213 homes at Sheppard AFB through MP2 Energy's Net Energy Metering Program for the purchase of all excess solar generation. Additionally, the solar contributes more than 30 percent of the homes' total power needs. The remaining electricity MP2 Energy procures will be 100 percent renewable, sourced from various regional assets.
