Texas PUC Adopts Final Cost Allocation To Participating REPs For Low-Income Customer Match Lists
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Texas PUC issued a final order assigning costs to retail electric providers that have filed requests for the low-income customer match list that REPs may voluntarily request to fund and receive.
TXU and NRG have agreed to contribute $20,000 each towards the cost of the annual matching process. The remaining $20,000 will be split evenly among the remaining REPs that request the list by filing in Project 48316, with the addition of Entergy Texas.
Aside from TXU and NRG, each unique REP brand receiving the list shall pay $714 for the list
Thirty-five REPs (including d/b/a's) and Entergy Texas filed requests for the low-income customer list in Project 48316. In total, the REPs that have requested Fiscal Year 2019 low-income customer list represent 91.5% of the identified low-income customers from the REPs that requested the list from the previous year.
