The Texas PUC gave retail electric providers until 8 a.m. Monday (9/17) to post, to the extent they list offers on Power to Choose, the same offers on both the English and Spanish language versions of the site

Chairman DeAnn T. Walker said that 57 REPs have offers on Power to Choose.

Of those, 34 do not have offers that are the same on both the English and Spanish language versions of the site

Walker said she was "not happy" with that, "at all"

At Walker's recommendation, Commissioners directed REPs that if they are going to post an offer, it has to be posted on both the English and Spanish sites

Commissioners agreed to give REPs the weekend to come into compliance with this directive

If, at 8 a.m. on Monday (9/17), REPs do not have their offers listed on both the English and Spanish versions, the offers will be removed from the site. The PUC will not allow REPs to post an offer only on one version of the site and not the other

Commissioner Arthur C. D'Andrea agreed that the issue is a, "serious problem," that should be fixed by Monday

Commissioner Shelly Botkin also agreed with Walker's concerns, stating that, "it just cannot be like that."
