The New York PSC revoked the ESCO eligibility of BluCo Energy, LLC for what the PSC said was failing to respond to a May 2018 show cause order, in which the PSC had said that BluCo had violated the UBP by failing to submit its annual compliance filing by January 31, 2018.

The PSC said that the Department of Public Service confirmed with the utilities with whom BluCo had sought to perform ESCO services that BluCo had not served any gas customers since 2015 nor any electric customers since 2016.

A book of BluCo customers had been acquired by East Coast Power & Gas in late 2015
