National Grid electricity default service rates in Massachusetts for mass market customers are due to rise 26-30% starting November 1, according to basic service rates filed with the Massachusetts DPU

For residential customers, National Grid's fixed basic service rate, including the currently effective Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factor (SGCCFs), would increase to 13.718 cents per kWh for the November 2018 to April 2019 period, a 26% increase from the current 10.870 cents per kWh

For commercial customers, National Grid's fixed basic service rate, including the currently effective Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factor (SGCCFs), would increase to 13.166 cents per kWh for the November 2018 to April 2019 period, a nearly 30% increase from the current 10.182 cents per kWh

National Grid's complete rates are below, shown with the current BSACFs/SGCCFs and without the application of the BSACFs/SGCCFs

The rates remain subject to DPU approval
