Texas PUC Staff Adopts Amounts For Assessment On Subject Retail Providers To Fund Internet Broadcast Of PUC Meetings

The Public Utility Commission of Texas adopted as final the fees to be allocated to retail electric providers and other companies to cover the cost of broadcasting PUCT meetings online for FY 2019.

PURA provides that a retail electric provider that serves more than 250,000 customers shall be subject to such an assessment.

The following fees have been assessed to subject REPs:

TXU Energy Retail Company LLC       $19,170
Reliant Energy Retail Company LLC   $18,089
Ambit Texas                          $5,060
Green Mountain Energy Company        $4,789
Stream Energy                        $3,606
Direct Energy                        $3,525
Just Energy Texas                    $3,001

There is no change in the number of REPs, or specific REPs, that are subject to the assessment versus last year
