PUC Opens Rulemaking On Default Service, Utility Affiliate Rules

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has opened rulemakings to review Ohio Adm.Code Chapters 4901:1-35, 4901:1-36, 4901:1-37, and 4901:1-38, concerning standard service offers, electric transmission cost recovery riders, corporate separation for electric utilities and affiliates, and reasonable arrangements for electric utility customers.
The rules are being reviewed under R.C. 111.15(B) and R.C. 106.03(A), which require all state agencies to conduct a review of their rules every five years to determine whether those rules should be continued without change, be amended, or be rescinded.
PUCO said that a workshop should be held before issuing any proposed revisions to the rules
PUCO scheduled a workshop for November 8
