PUCO approved the results of the auction that were described in our story below. The results will be blended with previous and future auctions to determine the price-to-compare for the FirstEnergy Ohio EDCs customers during the delivery period June 2019 through May 2020.

Earlier:

The October 22 auction for a portion of Standard Service Offer (SSO) supplies at the FirstEnergy Ohio electric distribution companies resulted in a tranche-weighted average price of winning bids of $47.12 per MWh for the delivery period June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020

The auction procured 17 tranches of supply for the June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020 period

There were 3 winning bidders, among 10 registered bidders

PUCO will consider the results of the auction at its meeting today.
