Update: Further Details On Customers Included In BlueRock Customer Book Sale

More details have emerged concerning the customers included in the previously announced sale of certain BlueRock Energy customers to Marathon Energy

As previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Marathon Energy announced that it has purchased certain energy customer contracts from BlueRock Energy Inc.

Marathon Energy had previously said that, "the purchased book of customers includes all utilities served by BlueRock in New York, and one utility in each of New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

A BlueRock filing with the Pennsylvania PUC has disclosed that the utility service area in Pennsylvania in which BlueRock sold its customer book to Marathon was PECO. Specifically, included in the book sale to Marathon were BlueRock's electric customers served at PECO.

BlueRock further said in the PUC filing that none of BlueRock’s other customers located in Pennsylvania are being assigned, and BlueRock will continue to serve customers in other Pennsylvania electric and gas territories.

BlueRock does not intend to abandon its Pennsylvania electric generation supplier license.
