West Penn Power Commercial Default Service Rates To Increase 64%

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed commercial PTCDefault rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting December 1, 2018
The PTCDefault rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%.
At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 7.236¢/kWh effective December 1, a 14% increase versus the current 6.344¢/kWh
At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 6.654¢/kWh effective December 1, a 14% increase from the current 5.842¢/kWh
At Penn Power, the commercial PTCDefault rate will be 7.807¢/kWh effective December 1, a 3% increase versus the current 7.548¢/kWh
At West Penn Power, the commercial PTCDefault rate will be 6.962¢/kWh effective December 1, a 64% increase versus the current 4.249¢/kWh
Official Prices to Compare have not yet been posted
Residential PTCDefault rates for December 1 had already been filed by the FirstEnergy EDCs and were first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com (see story here). At most of the FirstEnergy-PA EDCs, the December 1 residential PTCDefault rates are increasing 10-16%
