Winning Default Service Suppliers Disclosed

The Public Utility Commission of Ohio has disclosed winning bidders from the October 22 auction for a portion of Standard Service Offer (SSO) supplies at the FirstEnergy Ohio electric distribution companies
As previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, the FirstEnergy Ohio EDCs' default service auction procured 17 tranches of supply for the June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020 delivery period at a tranche-weighted average price of winning bids of $47.12 per MWh
NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC won 10 tranches in the auction at a tranche-weighted average price to be paid of $47.08 per MWh
Dynegy Marketing and Trade, LLC won 6 tranches in the auction at a tranche-weighted average price to be paid of $47.17 per MWh
Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota Company won 1 tranche in the auction at a tranche-weighted average price to be paid of $47.25 per MWh
EnergyChoiceMatters.com noted earlier this year that Northern States Power Company (Xcel Energy) had won several tranches in an AEP Ohio SSO auction held in March 2018; prior to that spring 2018 auction, Northern States Power Company had not been among the winning bidders in recent Ohio default service auctions
