Sustainable Westchester Municipal Aggregation Selects ESCO For Customers In ConEd Service Area, Rates Posted

Sustainable Westchester disclosed in an opt-out notice that Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. has been selected to serve Westchester Power's residential and small commercial electricity customers' supply requirements, in the Consolidated Edison service area, for a two-year period beginning January 1, 2019
Constellation NewEnergy, Inc., was the supplier for the original contract, and was awarded the new contract after a Request for Information (RFI) inquiry and final Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
For both residential (EL1) and small commercial (EL2) customers, Westchester Power's municipal aggregation has a rate of $0.07709/kWh for the standard product, and $0.07959 for the 100% renewable option, effective January 1, 2019, with prices fixed for two years
In a copy of the opt-out notice filed with the PSC, SW lists the 12-month average ConEd rate as follows, based on the weighted average Consolidated Edison electricity supply rate from July 2017 to July 2018: Residential: (EL1) $0.0826/kWh; Small Commercial (EL2): $0.0855/kWh
The City of Peekskill has also newly joined Westchester Power
SW said in a news release that 19 of the 20 municipalities in the ConEd territory opted for green supply, which will be matched with NYS hydro power renewable energy certificates.
