Texas PUC Staff Propose New Interest Rates Applicable to Deposits Held By REPs, Overcharges

Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas have proposed new interest rates applicable to REP deposits and over-billings, consistent with the calculations set forth by rule

The interest rate for calendar-year 2019 on deposits held by REPs would be 1.92 percent. The current interest rate for this provision for 2018 is 0.91 percent.

The interest rate for calendar-year 2019 for overbillings and certain underbillings by a REP would be 1.99 percent. The current interest rate for this provision for 2018 is 1.05 percent.
