Direct Energy Launches Texas Energy Plan with Donation for Local Children’s Hospitals

Direct Energy today unveiled a new plan for Texas customers under which it will donate $50 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for each new customer.

The 12-month Give Brighter Miracles plan is available in the CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, Oncor and Texas-New Mexico Power utility service areas, which include the Houston and Dallas metro areas.

In the Oncor service area, Direct Energy's 12-month Give Brighter Miracles plan is a 12-month fixed plan with an average all-in rate at 1,000 kWh usage of 11.9¢ per kWh, reflecting an Energy Charge of 7.4¢ per kWh, a Base Charge of $4.95, and Oncor Electric Delivery Charges of $3.42 per month and 3.692¢ per kWh

An early termination fee of $135 applies

Donations will be made on behalf of Direct Energy customers to local CMN Hospitals: Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
